What happens during a medical marijuana evaluation?

When you arrive at Garcia Family Medicine for a medical marijuana evaluation, your provider weighs you and checks your pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs. Dr. Tess reviews your medical history and asks about symptoms you may have. She completes a physical examination to check for signs of illness, injury, and disease.

Dr. Tess might recommend you undergo blood tests, urine tests, X-rays, or other imaging procedures to diagnose your condition. If you’re a candidate for treatment with medical marijuana, she doesn’t prescribe marijuana, but she can help you qualify for a medical marijuana card in Missouri.
